WorkCover and Workplace Rehabilitation Services

A workplace injury impacts all levels and affects businesses of all sizes. Our aim at Spectrum Healthcare is to ensure that injured employees receive the most appropriate and adequate treatment.

WorkCover

Approved workplace rehabilitation providers, such as Spectrum Healthcare, are organisations approved by WorkCover NSW to offer specialised services to help injured workers to return to work.

Spectrum Healthcare has the qualifications, experience and expertise appropriate to provide services in accordance with the following NOHSC (1995) definition:

“Workplace rehabilitation is a managed process involving early intervention with appropriate, adequate and timely services based on assessed need, and which is aimed at maintaining injured or ill employees in, or returning them to, suitable employment.”

All our practitioners at Spectrum Healthcare are accredited workers’ compensation practitioners, approved by the NSW WorkCover authority.

Our chiropractors, physiotherapists and exercise physiologists have the experience and expertise to provide rehabilitation programs to ensure a speedy recovery and return to work.
Workplace rehabilitation services are provided by delivering:

  • Corresponding with employers and insurance companies to ensure correct injury management procedure is followed.
  • Liaising with workplace rehabilitation officers for return-to-work plans.
  • Constant up-to-date progress reports to the Nominated Treating Doctor (NTD).
Employers, insurers or doctors may recommend workplace rehabilitation to help in complex cases. However, the insurer engages with the workplace rehabilitation provider and pays for their services. The cost of workplace rehabilitation services is recorded as a claims cost.
