Damien Benson

Damien, our principal practitioner is one of only a handful of fully credentialed Active Release Technique (ART) providers in Australia, certified in full body (upper, lower and spine), nerve entrapment and masters level.

Damien has also traveled the WTA Tennis Circuit, working exclusively with Shaui Peng (seeded 23rd) from China.

Alongside his sporting interests, Damien’s experience has lead him to focus on workplace injuries and occupational health and safety. Currently, Damien is the injury management consultant for Linfox Australia and Coles National Distribution Centres across New South Wales.

Leigh Perry

Leigh has completed a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a postgraduate degree in Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University. She has focused primarily on injuries of the spine, sporting injuries and rehabilitative care.

Leigh uses a multidisciplinary approach to treating muscular and spinal injuries, by utilising techniques such as soft tissue therapy and dry needling she understands that the presenting complaint is often a symptom of an underlying muscular imbalance and therefore tailors her treatment to each patient’s individual needs.

Phillip Su

Phillip focuses on a holistic approach to treating muscular and spinal injuries through patient education and the use of soft tissue therapy, dry needling, and exercise therapy.

Furthermore, Phillip is trained in core-strengthening rehabilitation. Having undertaken studies in (physiotherapy-based) clinical Pilates, Phillip recognises that it is essential to improve lumbo-pelvic strength, balance and control in order to manage lower back pain.

Phillip has an all-round sporting background in regional and state level swimming, basketball, tennis and Oz-tag. His experience has provided him with the knowledge and understanding in dealing with common sports and musculoskeletal related injuries.

Alongside private practice Phillip is also an injury management provider for various Linfox sites within New South Wales.

Jason Wright

Jason, our senior Physiotherapist, spent several years based in a Wollongong based private practice. He is a graduate of the University of Sydney in Exercise & Sports Science & also has a Masters degree in Physiotherapy.

Jason is a keen tennis player who has played at a semi-professional level for a number of years. His experience with competition tennis has provided him with invaluable experience in dealing with sporting related injuries.

Alongside tennis, Jason is an avid golfer, which has lead him to travel to the USA to become a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified practitioner. TPI is the world’s leading educational organisation dedicated to the study of how the body functions in relation to the golf swing.

In addition to his love for all sports, Jason has had further training and worked closely with ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) Specialists for vertigo and vestibular disorders, providing an effective triage system for managing Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) and Vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT).

Simon Wybenga

Prior to private practice, Simon has had experience in the public system in various clinical roles such as, neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Post-operative surgical wards, ICU, cardiopulmonary and musculoskeletal outpatient programs.

Having played competitive Rugby Union and his previous role as sports trainer for Beecroft Rugby Club, Simon has experienced first-hand that pain and injuries are common amongst athletes. His treatment strategies focus on functional assessments, soft tissue techniques, taping and corrective exercise rehabilitation to manage and prevent sporting injuries.

Simon is a keen triathlete and cyclist, who has achieved multiple podium finishes from sprint distances to half Ironman. He achieved third in his age group in the Nepean Triathlon and completed the Port Macquarie Half Ironman in 4 hours and 34 minutes. His interest in cycling has developed into a coaching role and he is also trained in bike fitting.

Simon has recently spent five weeks in China where he was treating three WTA top 100 level tennis players. While there he worked alongside Zarina Diyas, Saisai Zheng and Xu-Yifan. Simon was lucky enough to travel with them to WTA Nanchang and the 13th National Games of China.

Alongside private practice, Simon is an injury management provider for the Coles National Distribution Centre and is also heading our Injury Management Clinic for the Macquarie Dragons FC.

Matthew Matson

Matthew has had an extensive background in sport, having played rugby union at a state and cricket at a representative level. Matthew’s interest in sports has also lead him to coaching roles with The Kings School, which has furthered his interest in strength and conditioning, and musculoskeletal injuries.

Matthew’s treatment approach incorporates the use of manual therapies and exercise prescription to optimise movement patterns, aid recovery and prevent recurring injuries.

Domenic Nasso

Having worked with elite level trainers and coaches for a number of NRL teams (including the Parramatta Eels, Penrith Panthers and Manly Sea Eagles) in which he has assisted with the development of advanced strength and conditioning rehabilitation programs.

Domenic’s scope of work includes devising rehabilitation programs within private practice, alongside Workers Compensation and CTP cases. Domenic is also the Health and Lifestyle advisor for Linfox NSW, Coles and Asics Australia.
